Just saw this rifle on a German auction website. Is that a horn or ivory forend tip?

Could be either but i have seen ivory foreend tips.

Wish I could read German. Can any translate what it says about bore condition ?

Gun has obviously been standing in a gun cupboard for a while looking at the recoil pad.

Not a bad price for a WR 425. Anyone in Europe bidding ?

He said the forend cap is made of horn and the barrel is in good condition.

Babelfish can sometimes be ridiculous/hilarious depending on you view it. Ziegenhahn is always translated by the site as "goat cock," Mauser as "mouse he" and Sauer as "sourly."
