Re: Roe Bucks and Boars in Croatia

I was hunting in Lika - SE part of Croatia - it is a high plateau - rocky, hard, dry...north of Velebit mountain range - on the south of Velebit is Adriatic Sea.

Hunting there is still quite pristine compared to Northern EU standards - relaxed (still goal oriented tho) - some things are not so strict and if you let go you get most out of it.

People are just like the country - simple with hard (yet thin) shell and big hearts - very proud...
Ex Yugoslav war is still hanging in the air - they have fought for those parts and lost their relatives during the war.
Many hunters are war veterans and you get to hear quite some 1st hand stories from that era if you ask...

Yes it is an unique adventure if you are open to look and listen - nothing like it in the rest of EU.
