I have handled this rifle and it is a fine piece to be sure. It is flawless in fit and appearance! These photos look like they are from the IWA show. I would agree with you NitroX that the price estimate is on the conservative side....makers traditionally sell the smaller pieces for more than the larger calibres part of that is due to the fact that the work is extremely delicate, there is far less room for error with the small scale rifles, and they are not made as often so the set up is a "onesy, twosy" type thing as opposed to say setting up to make 10 or 20 .375 actions for example. As for the scope,,,, the 17 HMR needs it in my opinion... its a shame that you cant find good optics with 1/2" and 3/4" bodies. We displayed a set of 22 cal double bolt actions in our booth they were prototypes and drew a great deal of interest... we are now in the process of making prototypes in the 17 HMR..... there appears to be a greater market for them than one would imagine.
