It sounds like you cannot come up with the money for either of these rifles. So was this just a fantasy exercise for you? The DMB has been rattling about for at least 1-2 years if I recall correctly, so the market does not appear to value it as highly as the seller does.
May I ask what kind of car you drive? If not a Mercedes 560 SEL, then WHY NOT?
Why would someone drive a Toyota Corolla? A combination of reliability, adequate features and price. The same is true for a Searcy. First, they are exceptionally accurate. Sometimes Pommie doubles are that accurate, but sometimes not. Second, they are very reliable and durable. And third, they offer all of the necessary features for a serious hunter as opposed to an armchair rifle enthusiast. Anyone who wants to can spend an additional $40K on fit and finish, and there is no one stopping him. But that does not mean the rifle will work any better.
