I believe that the loads given by Pierre van der Walt are very theoretical. 80gr of IMR 3031 for example, is a very hot load when I compare to different loads that I have tested. I would never try to use it. I based myself on the data for the cartridge 404 Jeffery and tested many loads that are listed in the RWS manual and the A-Square manual. This loads are far from the above quoted loads. I was with this loads on the right side without getting into dangerous overpressure range. I also took into account the hot climatic conditions by hunting in Africa.
