I find about 14 1/2" suits me fine, although on some lighter rifles I don't mind if shorter, usually short action lengths.

On a magnum length action, like the RSM, i like a longer LOP. My No1 450/400 is a bit short for me and I intend to put a thick Limbsaver on it.
