500grains We hope Jimmy will return to the wild, sooner rather than later. It shouldn't be too difficult - you know what it's like here. He is very close to the wild as it is - just a short walk down the road and he's in the wild. I understand that rhino are not too difficult to reintroduce - Anne has had incredible success with more difficult species. The orphan buffalo is wandering further afield now and we hope she'll bump into other buffalo soon. I can't see how Jimmy could be a domesticated rhino forever. As good natured as he has become, once fully grown it would only be a matter of time before he head-butted someone into oblivion! I'm sure he'll end up wandering off one day, just as I'm sure that he'll come back and visit now and then! ErikD I have no doubt that somebody will be on all fours teaching him to feed soon. Unfortunately I am off hunting so it will have to be someone else. Maybe Roger Whittall will have to do it! I shall mention it to him! Dave |
