I think maybe it's a lower hunting & predator pressure perhaps.......but it's only my guess. The two areas I mentioned in Tuli haven't bought in kudu for many years and hunting pressure is fairly light but both areas still produce real monsters.

I guess it's probably a mixture of habitat, genetics and many other factors all added together. We should also clarify exactly what type of kudu we're talking about here which as far as my posts are concerned is southern greater kudu.

Incidentally, if you're a fisherman one of these areas is the bees knees. There is a dam below the camp which means that there is always a fair bit of water in the river beside camp. I've caught some real nice fish there and been broken up by some monsters. The next time I go up there I plan to take an uptide caster and try to hook a croc for a bit of extra fun. Even if I don't get into one I reckon the there are catfish there big enough to warrant a rod of that power.
