I enjoyed Anderson immensely though in India itself, many seem to think that he bragged somewhat. This includes some of the older shikaris who still live in India and who had considerable experience hunting tigers and leopards in the old days. To a man these people seem to venerate Corbett as if he were superhuman.

It probably isn't fair to compare two very different individuals, or, indeed to compare anyone in India with Corbett... I guess my approach has been to enjoy both on their own merits and I have enjoyed their books a lot as you recommend.
