White tigers are gorgeous but don't they seem to have some genetic flaws that show up if someone tries to deliberately breed them? I recall reading that one of the prize specimens in the National Zoo, or someplace, had to be euthanized because it had become so crippled from inherited defects. White housecats with blue eyes are invariably deaf.
