You’re right, it seems to be a customized MAS 36. Not a poor picking, a common cheap and sturdy rifle, with parts aplenty available. Just like the 303 for the English hunters.
When in the army I used this rifle for ward duty and parade. We weren’t supposed to deteriorate the strategic stocks of serious weapons……………………and the FAMAS, FRF2, PGM and MINIMI weren’t invented.

the good thing with the mauser is that we have the very best rifle in our hands and be free now to take a fresh look at other actions.
the unknown and unexplored gun and hunting history interested me more than the things we know. makes the world a little bit more colourful, dont you think so?
with he help of the lord I will get the export permit for a Mas 36 sporter in 10,75x68 next month. waiting for this since last christmas and let a lot of interesting rifle passing by.
have a special tast for very small rifles and the mas is probably the smallest bolt action you will find also if you compare it with the mannlicher. but you get a lot more cartridge into this action with the 10,75x68 than into a mannlicher.
"my" rifle is missing some part but I was able to get an deactivated 8x60S sporter thats waiting here.

thats what I use to make the pics
