I imagine it shot most african game in that time. The family eventually moved to NZ when the situation in Zimbabwe changed. They then moved to Australia, but sold the rifle before they moved. The stock and metalwork wear their signs of use. I can only imagine how the scars were earned. The tangent sight has been filed out to more of an express sight with a wide V. It does make longer range shots harder but would be perfect for brain shots on elephant at 10yds! The rifle came with some very old solid rounds so I don't think that is wishful thinking! |
