The D 99's only have 2 locks. There is a selector that lets you choose if the front trigger fires the upper rifle barrel or the lower right barrel. The rear trigger always fires the lower left barrel.

The cocking stroke is a little longer than the R 93.

I had used the R 93 for a while before I got the D 99. I do not find the D 99 difficult to cock at all.
