I reckon the best thing about a 1909 safari would be the ability to carry a double 8-bore without raising any eyebrows!

Of course, the chance to borrow Teddy's .450 Holland Royal Sidelock for a few shots occasionally would be a nice bonus!

...and never forget that famous quote, after being advised to "just take the 6.5 Mannlicher".....
