Unless it has a black line on the bottom John, I don't go in ANY water. Case in point is our run in with a saltie whilst goose hunting (I've written a story on it for sporting shooter

) Just remember there are 3 to 4 meter salties being pulled from the Katherine and thats a long way from the sea. Gary Hall and I also spotted a BIG croc on a property in Mattaranka. We were a long way from the Roper in the escarpment country walking along a spring fed pool and a big croc splashed into the water. If it was a freshie it had to be the grand daddy of them all. There is also one thing that a croc can do that a Barra can't.....walk!
