Exactly...These were made by J.P. Sauer for Charles Daly for export to the US. They didn't have a cheek piece or side clips, and they were also imported in 25-35 and 38-55. I have seen one in 25 Krag, but only one.

I'll take some photos of the 16ga and 12 ga together. There are minor engraving differences, and the 12ga frame is much larger. I would say that they used the same frame for the 16 and 20 gauge guns. I have only run across one 20 gauge, and the seller wanted $8,500.00 for it...to much as it was only the Superior grade, like these two of mine. I owned a 12 & 30-30 Diamond grade as a boy, but it was lost to a burgler. Cops killed the bastard about six months later in a shoot out. The gun was taken into evidence and never seen again. The cops were as crooked as the other thief, it seems. I knew who got my drilling and three other of my guns. He must have made the wrong enemy at some time; he was shot off his patrol motorcycle, and the murder was never solved.

The American market Dalys all have long barrels and a lot of drop in the stock. I have always wondered why they were never chambered in 30-40 Krag? It seems that it would be a natural, given the vintage of the guns. It was our 303 or 8X57JR...
