Tip on viewing long threads or one with lots of photos

A thread which is very long and especially one with a large number of photos can load quite slowly. About eight photographs can be inserted into a thread and if the thread grows to 20 or more replies it will be very slow.

If this happens OR the thread just appears to load very slowly change the method of viewing the thread to a THREADED view.

The default on Forums.NitroExpress.com is a FLAT view, ie posts are just displayed in the order they are received. A THREADED view on the other hand shows each post one-by-one with a TREE of posts below. Replies are shown in the TREE on a branch attached to the parent post. It is useful sometimes to change the title when you reply if this view is used a lot.

Using a THREADED view you can click on the individual posts and each post will load very quickly.

To change the method on a temporary basis, just look to the Top Right hand side of the screen when inside a thread. It should say VIEW THREADED or FLAT (or similar). Clicking on this changes the method of viewing.

To change the method on a permanent basis go to your MY HOME page and look for the three menu items near the bottom. DISPLAY options will allow you to change to a THREADED view from a FLAT view.
