These are two I Hollis Sporter Martini's I own. The large one in the white is one I saved from the SAPS butcher block. The barrel was not serial numbered so it was going to be destroyed. I suggested having the barrel drilled out and the threads cut off and the rifle then sent to me. While the decison was made to do that the buttplate, grip cap and fore stock disappeared. I will restore the gun by using the old drilled out barrel as a barrel sleeve. the gun is otherewise complete. The multiple leaf sight is complete and not missing leaves as they often do. It will be restoored back to .450 Musket No.2

The bottom gun is my I Hollis .218 Mashburn Bee. I used it in 2002 on African plains game. This gun is up for remodel also. What you don't see in the picture is that the fore stock is not original and has been changed. And as is typical of those who don't know better the fore stock looks like piece of lumber and not a graceful fore stock.

This rifle is not mine. it belongs to another fellow who frequents the Martini boards. It is the style in which I am going to restore both these rifles.

Purely for the sake of an argument. A person who hunts with a Martini has to be a far better hunter than a double gunner. A Martini hunter doesn't have all that spray and pray 2 shot firepower that a double gunner has to make up for a lack of hunting and shooting skill!!! One shot one kill!!
