For those that want one, here is a Hog Deer Ballot form that you can print out and send in to be in the chance to hunt hog deer at Blond Bay.

It is a great chance to hunt a hoggie free range in Gippsland. The ballot only costs A$10 and you are only allowed to enter once.

A considerable number of hunters are chosen with usually at least four per week for about 4 1/2 days hunting. The dates you hunt is part of the draw between March and early June 2004, and you can not swap or transfer a winning ballot.

I personally have done it twice and can't wait to get a winning ballot again, if I am very lucky. One hunt was very successful and the other not, but both were good fun and the other hunters were all mostly great blokes (and girls).

The ballot is open to international hunters as well. Where else will you get a hog deer hunt for A$10 instead of many thousands of dollars! Note the hunts are self guided but I believe it is possible to take a guest.

I will try to post a story on the hunt very soon so people have an idea what is involved. These ballots are done each year so far.

Closing date is last mail 28 November 2003, with the draw in December 2003.
