500 grains - Unless he built several of them, I remember that 50 BMG express rifle when it was in the white and an unfinished stock. I said to him, "Tell me, Fred, the guy who had you make this rifle is from Texas, right?" He chuckled and said, How'd you guess?".

At that time, which was about 1983, he said the price on that rifle was $13,000.00 and I thought it was a bargain.
