is the 9,3x74R dead?

I am looking at a Krieghoff Optima drilling (dbl.rifle). Is the good old faithfull 9,3x74R dead? Should I invest and go for a .375H&H Flanged for african-game (gnu, zebra, boar, sml plains-game)?
