New user need help identifying this Mauser. It's a military small ring action with 7.785'' between trigger guard screws. 8x57 caliber . no markings except serial numbers (all matching). on the military stepped barrel, I have another serial number (353144) . Maybe there is a marking under the scope mount but I hesitate to dismantle ... this rifle is really well balanced .
