I had a friend who has passed now, name was Berning, who had a very large and very impressive collection of guns including dozens of Winchesters. (Don't tell me farming is a poor mans occupation). Any way he had an original 86 in 50-110 and it was very nice indeed. But what sticks out and this is maybe 20 years ago, he had a Winchester loading tool for the 50-110 and he told me that he paid a $1000 for it. He said the tool was rarer then the rifle itself.
Just thought you might be interested in that tidbit of info.
