Proof stamp "G.M.G." on Steyr M95 "sporter"

Just try to impress the proof marks on an M95 rifled in 7x57R and proofed in Ferlach 1937.

1238.37.73.90. g.M.G

1238.37 is journalnumber 1238 of 1937
73 is the bore dia for the 7x57R
90 is the bulletweight in gramm

but what is "g.M.G."? I have never seen this or an other combi like this on austria proofed rifles around 1937.

I have contacted the proofhouse in Ferlach and Vienna, they dont know.
