davem3 is being kind in his description of de Haas's article. It was actually rather critical of the action. I first came across this action in an article in the Single Shot Exchange. It's a bit frightening, actually. The action cocks on closing by literally letting the hammer slip off the cocking bolt and snap onto the trigger sear. I've uploaded a copy of the action's drawing. The first thought I had was "what if the cocking bolt ever sticks?" Then the striker would be dropped into the safety notch, likely damaging the sear tip and making the action unsafe. The rebounding hammer doesn't look to be all that well done either, there being no safety nut to keep it in adjustment. I was glad to later find de Haas found the action a poor choice. I think you have better things to spend your $550 on.
