How do you become an accredited hunter then?

Not sure where this reference came from, in the article somewhere perhaps?

Edited, I see in the title - " accredited hunter numbers drop "

Accreditation is usually through some gov't agency. You may have to do some sort of assessment, some sort of test etc, fill out some forms, maybe prove you can shoot animals in the brain? Also obviously hygiene and meat handling, inspection of carcases and what is required.

I remember reading that was a requirement for roos in NSW. ie brain shooting.

Funny when the gov't does these culls, particularly aerial culls, or culls using 1080, suddenly all these concerns for "ethical shooting" and "minimisation of cruelty" goes out the window,. Supposedly about six or seven shots per animal for chopper culling ...

If youa re seriously interested I can probably find out, "how to get accreditation".

Just as easy go a goodle search, using terms such as "feral", "accreditation", "meat", etc.
