The falcon engraving on the floorplate is quite "art deco". At least that is the style it looks like to me, might have another style name.



I have a house full of art deco bits, as it fittings, from the past. Not sure if I like art deco, but it grows on one. In any case this falcon is very well done.

The bolt handle is also very good. The engraving on this rifle is a little more reserved. I am guessing it would have been a commission for a Middle Eastern customer, falconry being very big in the ME.
