Advice or suggestions about a book (or two)
      17/05/05 11:12 AM

A question about a bird book made me realize that I'm well covered on that front. I also have more than enough books on mammals. The books that I have on South African snakes and insects also covers all my needs. Same with trees and grasses, I'm at least reasonably covered. But where my own library is seriously lacking is on the lizards, tortoises and other similar creatures that are seen in South Africa.

Can any one make some suggestions for (i) a beginners and (ii) a definite “stop all arguments” scientific reference type work that covers the South or southern African cold blooded creatures?

Thanks.
