An acquaintance of mine once suggested how to stop the Chinese appetite for looting and destroying our natural world.

In his case elephant ivory or maybe rhino horn. He suggested putting a small piece of highly radioactive plutonium into a tusk or horn and killing everyone who handled it along the smuggling chain ...

Same could be done here. Could the fish bladders, be poisoned in some way. Kill the consumers. Problem quickly solved when everyone becomes woried about their special anti ageing soup ...

A big problem with the plutonium idea is releasing atomic bomb fissionable material out into the smugglers world. Might have other consequences ...

BTW this guy worked for allegedly the biggest (as named ny the UN) illegal ivory and rhino horn smuggler in Africa ....
