Pop up peep sight on a ZKK602

Borrowed this image from one of Joel's threads.

Can somehow describe and also show in photos how the peep sight works?

Also if the rifle is fitted with QD mount bases does that interfere with the operation of the peep sight?

Lastly, can these peep sights be adjusted for point of aim, laterally or elevation adustment?
