thats why I ask
austria had a special law that declared ANY proof mark from ANY country before june or july 1945 for invalid so when you buy an old gun and wish to shoot it in austria it needs a new proof. problem is that austrian proof houses don't accept bolt action rifles with scope mount bases directly file into the receiver for a new proof.
so small problems can again create bigger problems.
