The only issue that there has been with the .357 Max is getting it to feed. The only adjustment you should make is to adjust load position of the breech block. Some guns will feed, some will not.

A bad practice by some less knowledgeable is to grind the feed tray on top of breech block. If you feel comfortable grinding locking lugs, then go right ahead. The breech block is basically the locking lug of the Martini. This was a practice not allowed in my shop.

I have never seen a catastrophic failure from this practice, but the cracks that appeared did not instill confidence.
