Have you hunted a lot with the 505 Gibbs since you received it? Rifles appears to be in very good condition. I tinkered with the idea of a 500 but 505 is simply too much recoil for me.

Yochanan: Good eyes. The Gibbs has been shot plenty, but has not been out on a hunt. The hunts that I have taken since receiving the .505 have been plains game hunts; thus inappropriate for the .505. My friends and I are kicking around the idea of an Asian Buffalo hunt in the Northern Territory of Australia in 2016. Perhaps the Gibbs will get it's chance then. We'll see. Chip.
