Hello Spinna,

I have a rifle marked "Mauser 4000" in .222 Rem. with a standard trigger (no set trigger).
It is very good shooting and has also a good safety, which (I assume) blocks the firing pin.

I have also some Heym rifles in 8x68S and 9,3x64 (one marked "SR 10")which are similar to the Mauser 4000 rifle, so I assume again that the development and first production series were done for and by Heym and the next serial production then either shifted to Mauser or done at Heym and marked with the Mauser logo.

A flaw for the Mauser 98 fans: the Mauser 4000 and the SR 10 are push feed, not controlled round feed.

best regards
Rolf
