I haven't hunted in North America. But would love to and am setting myself a 5 year target. (good to set targets otherwise it never happens)

If you had to name the top 5 trophies or game animals to hunt, what in you opinion are they? And where?

If you haven't hunted them yourselves that's fine. I'm interested in what you would WANT to hunt. And if you have taken them as well, congratulations.

Here's my go at it. Animals I would rate as a foreignor. Could change though.

1. Grizzly bear (of whatever persuasion)

2. Elk

3. Moose

4. Big Horn Sheep

5. Mountain Goat

But that leaves out A LOT of other game animals. Its a tough choice.

But if I get over there I would probably go for a bear/deer combo.

If to Alaska or North Western Canada - a moose and grizzly combo.

If to the US a black bear and mule or whitetail mix.

Elk may be a little out of my pocket range.

I would really like to hunt bear (and try eating it too - I know you can eat black bear - can you eat brown or grizzly bear?). One day would like to look at Kamchatka as well.
