Not sure where to post this, saw the howdah case request in double rifles, move it if wrong
I bought this some months ago, they are rare in the UK but I have never seen one this small
Barrel length is a touch over 5 inches
Calibre is .500 X 1.5"
It has been refurbished, (not by me) There is quite a bit of corrosion buffed up
Bolted locks are a nice touch
Retailer is T Sylvan 44 Bedford Street London, listed as Thomas Sylven 1865-1880 in Brown's "British Gunmakers"

I made up these inert rounds from old 500 express cases, they took a lot of sizing (50/70 dies eventually did it) The only references to the round I have seen is in Hoyem, which are coil wrapped and look thin
Has anyone any ideas of the maker? The hammers look similar to the Rhodda, who were also retailers
