The proof house is in an ancient building and I doubt the heating is up to much. Let's hope I am wrong.

Malc the smith says he has to do quite a bit of polishing to remove the fine turning marks anyway so it should not be a problem. I however disagree and think rust will show up as spots unless more surface is removed in polishing which I would obviously like to avoid and of course ther eis the bore to consider. There will be hell to pay if that gets any pitting

But it's out of my hands
