My 400-350 NE is an O/U which was custom built by an Aussie gunsmith.
Yes, the cartridge is ideal for boar, moose, and deer.
It would usually be considered too light for African Dangerous Game though. It could handle them ok with backup, but a larger cal would be a better choice for the big nasty stuff.
