abosely, which war? I have a pre-WW1 mauser actioned rifle without barrel band. It looks classic, but I have nothing against a barrel band. On a 275Rigby I think a front sight without a band would look very nice.

There are some photos of my H&H 375H&H in the Mauser Photos board.
