Your military brass is just to old ,as it gets older brass becomes brittle. Yours is Radway Green made in 1952 and is the standard Mk7 round .How many rounds do you have left? I would be thinking of pulling the projectiles and reloading them into new cases ,you won't be able to reuse the cordite .
