Sorry to be away for so long.

To answer questions that were posed after my last post: Yes, I have shot it with smokeless. I have only shot it at 25 yards and at that distance I found with my hold I was shooting about 3 inches high and 1 inch to the right. Left and right shots offset by 1 inch. For my first load work up I thought that was pretty good.

I have not taken the action apart to see how the inside was finished.

I am giving some serious thought to coating this gun in several layers of paste wax and taking it out for bear this spring here in Alaska.

I am using a small Canon camera in macro for these shots so bear with me. I will try and add some pictures of the complete rifle if I can get at it this evneing.

I did not check on the proof marks yet. the water table does indicate Cordite quantity at 55 and the max bullet weight of 400.

You can clearly see the serial number and case colors on the water table.

The firing pin bushings are secured in place with a screw @ approximately 12 o'clock to keep them from backing out. Also, there is an indicator mark on both bushings that are aligned with a mark on the receiver.

This is the only gold inlay on the exterior of the receiver.

Maker's name on the hand filed rib. The job of filing a rib like this one is not something I could create with my limited skills.

This is the right side of the receiver. I really like the lines of this gun as they are simple and curved. I just like the flow of it all.
