Weatherby chambered the 338/06 in their Ultra Light for a short time but it has been discontinued.

I would imagine the market for both the 338/06 and 35 Whelen is extremely limited as compared to the 338 Winchester.

While the market is also very limited for calibres like the 375 H&H, 416 Rigb, 458 Lott and most of the Weatherbys these calibres, unlike the 338/06, can be sold at much higher prices for ammo/components and rifles and therefore remain alive as factory offerings.
