Trophy fees may have a downside beyond what they cost. The Australian Deer Association appears to see them as synonymous with corruption. Its belief appears to be that where trophy fees are charged, the guide is more than likely to go beyond fair chase in order to get an animal for his client. I have no personal position on this but feel alternative views should be aired.
