This gun, and many like it from what I've read, perform amazingly well with modern factory Foster type slugs, equalling many rifled guns at least out to 70-100 meters. I would be curious as to what it would do with a scope, although the sights right now are excellent. Years ago, Ithaca figured out that a slightly tighter-than standard, straight tubed gun with a highly polished bore was the key to Foster accuracy, so I've read. It is a swap-barrel gun, and seems to hold zero well between swaps, probably due to the Ithaca method.

It is very light, however, and after 20 shots or so I usually glance at my watch and decide I am late for another pressing engagement elsewhere and must pack up and skedaddle...
