Well I bet your other two dogs must have been either been not keen enough or a little too smart by not going out when its freezing!
My old uncle used to have an old Labrador like that, never moved a muscle...until you opened the shotgun; turned into a different dog altogether - mind you it was the saddest thing to go & get him off the truck!
