I agree they that they don`t last long when used with regular pressured ammo, but if you only use ammo that are "suited" for the krag action they last forever. I know of several that has atleast 20,000 rounds in the action, some new barrels though. But With regular pressured ammo they die fast. And many of them don`t like rain and moist conditions as well, they usually shot a bit different when wet.
