Nice- I'd use it thwe way it is. Bit of a clean-up, maybe.
; I'd check to ensure the steel tube has been removed from the rear gaurd screw hole. The steel tube is the reason for most all wrist splits. The wood compresses over time and the screws are tightened to take up the slack. The steel tube prevents the rear gaurd screw from tightening the action in the stock and the stock splits - happens mostly with Husky rifles or any Mauser rifle with this tube.
; Removing the tube allows the action to snuggle down into the stock and be secured. The cross pins with bedding should prevent any further splits.
