hoppdoc, I think I saw you on the airport. Did you hunt with Andries Smit? We waited together for our clients the day I think you flew in. I have not hunted croc there yet, but have seen a few very nice ones sunning themselfs. I recon over 12 feet will be entirely possible.

Anyway, here's some more info on the areas, plus a map. (THe blue marked areas in the NW are the areas under discussion.)

Of the 3 areas, two are bordering each other and starts north of Etosha, then run all the way up to the Kunene River. (Uukwaluudi (Uu) and Ruacana-Uukolonkahdi (R-U)). The third area (Puros (P)) is approximately 150 miles away, running from the Giraffe Mountains in the East to right on the Skeleton Coast in the West. While the top 2 areas receive rainfall of 400-500 mm of rain per year, and consist mostly of scrub mopane, Puros receives less than 100mm, and is true Namib Desert. It is also here that the research on desert lions was conducted a few years ago. The sizes of the areas are as follows:
Puros = 356 800 ha (881 296 acres) unfenced
Ruacana-Uukolonkahdi = 299 300 ha (739 271 acres) unfenced
Uukwaluudi = 143 700 ha (354 939 acres), mostly unfenced, but with a camp of 15 000 acres for reintroduction of scarce species (like black faced impala) in the southern most corner.
Game availability per area are as in my original post, with possible hippo, elephant, croc, lion, leopard and cheetah being added as a problem animal if such an opportunity arises.

Accommodation will be in tented camps, with ablution facilities (hot water and flush toilets) within 5 yards of each client’s tent.
Any of the stated animals, except trophy elephant and lion, may be hunted on the package deal. (Crocodile only on the 12 day deal, problem animals as they are available.) I have on trophy elephant left for 2008, in the 2 Nortern areas, at US$ 22 000, icluding a professionally DVD of your hunt.
