Searcy guns have been used and used hard by many PH's. They have a no questions asked, lifetime guarantee. I pretty much guessed that the reason for the change was comercial but asked Butch Searcy anyway. His answer was that he had been making double rifles for 20 years and that a well made, modern double, does not need a top extension. However it is viewed by many buyers as a desireable feature and that tradition is one of the hardest things to go against.

I am taking delivery of a new Seacy classic model in 450 NE. It's supposed to ship on Monday
