The threads really wouldn't have to be interupted if the rifle was kept without non-quick detach scope or kept iht irons. The interupted threads do make for a slick barrel'd action, though. Unlock, twist, remove or replace and lock. Cool! - not diffuclty to do, either. : Nice piece of wood too, English or French? A friend had some English without any red tones, just like French walnut.
